This finely matched knife set features two Jack Pine Specials and a ProSkinner, all sharing aged oak handles, aged blade finishes, and brass hardware. The spine view below shows a great comparison of the difference between the 1/8″ steel thickness (standard on most models) and the 3/32″ steel thickness (center; standard for the ProSkinner).
Spotlight: Antler Sears Nessmuk
This knife is a reproduction of the Sears Nessmuk, with a few customizations that make it very unique! First we have a traditional antler handle, with three mosaic pins, an aged blade finish, and a special etch in the blade.
The blade is crafted out of 5/32″ O-1 high carbon tool steel, the spine features Vine pattern filework, and the whole kit is made complete by a custom crossdraw leather sheath with a firesteel loop and anlter firestarter.

Paul’s ProSkinner
We wanted to share this moving piece from Paul about his new knife. Thank you so much for the kind words and letting Lucas Forge be a part of your outdoor life.
Hello, Lucas, just wanted to tell you about my experience with the Pro Skinner, mine built with Osage and aged blade just received a few weeks ago. I used it to skin out a woodcock this morning. As a Woodcock and Grouse hunter I will do full caping of each bird for my fly tying inventory. The Pro Skinner is perfect and fits beautifully for this delicate work. The thin blade and keen edge that you put onto it is wonderful. For me aesthetics is an important part of not just this little knife but the whole picture of my days afield from hunting these beautiful birds in the Fall to casting my soft hackles that they provide me during trout seasons. Nothing is more satisfying in late Winter than pulling out a bird that I hunted, selecting a feather and winding it around a hook. It does wonders anticipating the next season. And your work is a part of it all.
