Three handmade deerskin bags.
These deerskin bags are all handcrafted on our homestead using home-tanned deer hide. This particular style of bag is called a “Strike-a-Light” and is the perfect size for taking your fire starting tools out into the field. Each bag comes with a antler button for a fastener and a small leather loop to hang it on your belt.
All the bags are naturally white because of the natural color of the tanned deer hides. However…if you are interested in a more traditional or “weathered” look, we offer this option too. The middle bag in the above picture is an example of an aging process that is available as an option on your bag.
Approximate size:
- 3 1/4 inches at the widest point across the body of the bag.
- 2 3/4 inches across the top of the bag.
- Overall length, with fringe, is 7 1/2 inches.
- Without fringe…4 3/4 inches.
