Lucas,
I wanted to share my love of your knives with a recent couple of pics taken last Wednesday, November 30. I had drawn the California A-26 Late Season Archery hunt near Susanville California when my friend George saw a nice mule deer buck with a doe and fawn 33 yds off the road in some trees. This was our 4th day of the hunt and a big storm was expected for the next few days which added some urgency to our situation. The doe was in estrous and he was locked in. I had time to knock an arrow, get a clear line, range, come to full draw, and wait for the doe and fawn to clear before release. I made a heart shot and the buck expired 40 yds uphill very quickly. I was relieved and thankful that it was a humane kill. Then the real work started and you’re little Lookout knife helped out. I used it to cut the holes for the gambrel then George used it for the intricate skinning operation. It’s sharp as a razor and held its edge for a lot of the work. The pic below shows him at work with the little Lookout.
Here is a pic of the knife resting on the cape of my buck, a nice non-typical 3×4 with beautiful eye guards and a couple of stickers on the rear antler. This was my first deer taken and a lifetime dream. It took me 14 years to draw this tag using California’s preference drawing system. Your knife and skills were right there with me.
Thanks again and just wanted to share this great experience with you. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Shawn F.

Congratulations on a handsome buck, Cal!
Lucas, I can confirm that the mini jaguar has landed here in Sweden, Stockholm. It is absolutely amazing! Love at first sight…The blade is beautiful and razor sharp (as you of course already know..) I love that it has quite some weight so you can use it for heavy duty work but at the same time thin behind the edge with convexish grind for slicing. The handle is pure art…Lovely…but most of all I am impressed by the balance of the knife! Baam! Thank you for letting me buy one of your knives, worth waiting for.
Best wishes,
-Rickard

Thank you for helping old traditions live on and providing practical and very well made tools to assist. You are now a part of the family here in Wisconsin.” Thank you, Knute!

“For the record I’ve never used a knife with steel and an edge that my Kephart knife that you made has.. After dressing out my buck I thought it would need touching up. “Here’s a photo of my knife in use on a rainy picnic in the Pacific NW.” Looks great, Josh!
“My Elk River is a workhorse! I can’t count the animals that I have skinned and broke down with this one knife. Very rarely do I ever have to put it on a stone even after the three animals hanging in the picture, all I have to do is touch it up with a steel and its ready to go again. Wild hogs seem to be the toughest on a knife but they are no match for my Elk River!” -Mike of Pine Hollow Longbows
