Drop-Point in Detail
Hello everyone! Up for today, we have detail pictures of a snazzy drop-point knife that is on the Available Now page currently!
It’s a beauty of a hammer-forged original by Lucas Forge!
From the bird’s-eye view here, we can see some of the overall features. A honey-hued curly maple handle with brass accents, the hammer marks, aged finish…that kind of thing…
We will now zoom up a bit to get a better view of the blade. From here it becomes a little more obvious that something’s going on with the spine.
Oh boy! Customized filework! This not only adds to the design of the knife, it also gives more grip when the knife’s in use! But maybe there’s even more than meets the eye, so we’ll go at it from another angle…
Right along the grip-section of this spine, a unique contour has been carefully added so that there is a subtle area for the user’s thumb to settle. This may particularly be of use when the knife is needed for a very controlled cutting task, or because it’s just plain comfortable!
And we’ll finish up this tour with a picture of the other side of this unique, handcrafted knife.
Hope you’re having a wonderful day!
