It’s exciting to showcase one of the newest custom options in handle materials from Lucas Forge! Does anyone have a guess at what it is?

Well, if you’ve been following the action here, you might know…this cool handle is, in actuality, a phenolic made with genuine coffee bean bags!

The result is remarkable! Natural, and each is truly one-of-a-kind.

Here’s another example, which, again, shows the weave of these upcycled coffeebags. The material makes for a three-dimensional, very unique handle choice!

Just for fun and interest, here are some pictures of a sheet of this coffeebag phenolic (kind of like micarta) before it is turned into handsome knife handles. These bags have probably been well-traveled!

Some of the printing becomes unique dark accents in a handle.

And yes, apparently some of the cargo was even organic coffee beans!
